It seems to be an issue with the memory card itself, I think.Ĭan anyone give any tips or pointers as to what could A) be causing the issue and B) how to fix it? It would be much appreciated.ĭell Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 laptop running Windows 10 64-bit with an Intel Core i5-7300HQ Quad-Core CPU 2.50GHz, a(n) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB Solid State Drive. I have even replaced my copy of the game with another version but to no avail. I tried doing that with another copy of the memory card, but it doesn't recognise any pre-existing save because the data was lost when the card was formatted-it returns the bleak "there is no system file" message from before when I try to continue with my save.Īlso, interestingly enough, a copy of the memory card works just fine with another game (Pac-Man World 3), though is still "corrupt" according to the game. If I do that (with a copy of the memory card), it tells me that "There is no system file for this game on the Memory Card in Slot A." If I select "New Game", it gives me the same message, and then the option to "Create a system file". When I try to resume my game save by selecting "Continue" (and it must recognise on some level that there was a game saved to the card because the "Continue" option is available-it is normally greyed out if there is no save detected), it tells me to format the 'corrupt' card. (Though I wouldn't be adverse to using a newer, developmental version now if it might help.) When I switched versions on the old computer, everything seemed to be fine. I used both an older version of Dolphin on my old computer (something like 3.0 or 3.5-I don't know and can no longer check) and the newer 5.0, which I have on this computer. I've tried a few different things, including viewing a few different threads, but nothing helped to solve my issue. Now, the thing is with Harvest Moon is that it literally takes forever to make any progress in that game, and obviously I don't want to lose my progress. I have never used save states, only the memory card. The problem is that, when I try to load the save files on that memory card, it tells me that the card is corrupted and I need to format the card, losing all my saves. I downloaded all those files onto my new computer, and then later tried to run the only game I actually ended up playing on my old computer, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life (GC). I put all my game files and my memory card onto Google Drive and OneDrive when I was copying my files over from my old computer (instead of using a flash drive or other external storage device). Please let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas that can help me.I recently bought a new computer. I really don't want to start over again with the possibility of this issue occurring again. Has anyone faced this issue on emulator, and is there any possible way for me to fix the memory card save file, or is there anything else I can do to keep this character? I still have access to the character by reloading save states from before fighting Dark Falz, but at this point I can no longer save and quit as the 'memory card' is corrupted/not working. This in turn deleted my character completely. I most recently got to the end of Episode 1 and finally defeated Dark Falz, and upon reaching the end of the credits, the game told me that the save file was corrupt on the memory card and that nothing could be saved. Since your computer does not have a Gamecube or Wii memory port for a memory card, you must set up an internal memory card on your computers hard drive. I was able to use the emulator to save a character and run between Episode 1 and Episode 2. I had the itch to replay PSO on Gamecube several weeks ago, and I played the hell out of it for a good week.
